Describe your conversion experience.
I accepted Christ as my savior during a weekend youth event at a Baptist church when I was 14. Within a few weeks of that experience, I started messing around with drugs. After many years of drug use, homelessness, and alternative religions I found myself in jail facing felony charges. This prompted me to work on getting my life back together and eventually to make Jesus my lord and savior in a profound way. I am still in the process of being converted and transformed into the image of Christ.

Describe your "Call to Ministry" experience.
Once I accepted the Lordship of Christ there was no other option but ministry. It is what every disciple is called to do in one form or another.

What have you learned about ministering in the city, or hope to learn?
Christians in our cities have had a fortress mentality for too long and have shied away from reaching out to the places closest to them. We send millions of dollars to take care of people thousands of miles away, yet neglect the hurting and wounded next door. It is not enough to fees the homeless or donate some clothes. What is needed is the transforming power of the Holy Spirit working through authentic relationships to change communities from the inside out. The cities are places of great hope and great opportunity. It is our duty as followers of Christ to seek justice and protect the weak and poor in our midst so that they might rise up and take hold of this hope.

Vision for the city/your area of ministry?
To see vibrant, authentic, organic churches spread throughout our neighborhoods and communities to work towards justice, peace, and discipleship.

Anything else you want to say for yourself?
I love my wife. She's great.
